Walton Goggins captioned the video, “FALLOUT Season 2…. That’s a WRAP!!” This moment quickly gained traction among fans online, with many celebrating the return to the post-apocalyptic world. The video emphasizes the extensive makeup process required for Goggins’ transformation into the Ghoul, a key figure in the series.
The new season will take the story to New Vegas, a major location from the Fallout: New Vegas video game. Season 1 ended with Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) heading toward New Vegas and revealed the presence of a cold fusion device, suggesting high-stakes conflict in the upcoming episodes.
A leaked set video and official footage confirmed that New Vegas will be central to Season 2’s setting, featuring iconic landmarks, expanded worldbuilding, and additional factions drawn directly from the game’s storyline and lore.
Goggins described the new season as being “on a whole ‘nother level” in an interview with GamesRadar+. He added, “I wasn’t prepared for where the story was gonna go and how fully fleshed out” the world had become. During an interaction with Deadline, the actor said, “What these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story… It’s really gonna be something.”
The series was developed by Kilter Films. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy serve as executive producers. The main cast includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Moisés Arias, and Walton Goggins. Additional cast members include Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, and Michael Emerson.
Fallout Season 2 does not yet have a confirmed release date.
