Bam Margera Is Officially In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 After Backlash

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 initially received some backlash after it appeared it would not include Bam Margera, a pro skater who would become a staple for the franchise. It seems Activision and Iron Galaxy have heard its community and Margera is now officially in the game.

Bam Margera is playable in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4

Announced during THPS Fest, Margera will be a playable character in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. Activision and Iron Galaxy released a Behind the Scenes video featuring the former pro skater as he discusses his history with the games. Check out the video below.

“Every grandma, grandpa, little kid, anybody has played this game,” said Margera during the THPS Fest livestream. “And it’s really addictive to the point where I was missing several airplane flights over this game.”

Margera is not the only pro skater revealed during THPS Fest. It was announced that current Powell Peralta pro Andy Anderson will be an unlockable secret skater in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. Anderson is known for his freestyle tricks and unique overall approach to skating. Anyone interested in seeing his latest part can take a look at it here.

When Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 was announced, claims of “everything” from the original releases being in the remake sparked some controversy. A lot of that centered around both its lack of THPS 4’s unique career mode and the absence of Margera.

However, in a livestream from skateboarding podcast The Nine Club, Roger Bagley claimed Tony Hawk called Activision and told them they were putting Margera in the game despite Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 being “done.”

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on July 11. Purchasers of the Digital Deluxe Edition will get up to three days early access.
